The New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Association are calling for entries for
two scholarships offered by the Sunline Education Trust.
The first, The Irish National Stud Scholarship, offers the successful applicant
a full scholarship to attend the Irish National Stud's five-month diploma
course.
It will cover course fees, return air travel, accommodation and a cash advance
for personal expenses.
The scholarship is sponsored by the Keith and Faith Taylor Equine Scholarship
and the successful applicant will carry out work experience at Trelawney Stud
on their return to New Zealand.
Applicants are required to be under 25 years of age as at December 31, 2017.
"I couldn't recommend this amazing opportunity enough," 2017 scholarship
recipient Cameron Ring said. "You can ask any past student and they will tell
you like they told me, it's the best six months of your life."
The second scholarship on offer is the International Management Scholarship,
sponsored by the Sunline Education Trust.
The successful applicant will receive an all-expenses paid, bonded trip of 30
weeks experiencing the operational infrastructure, systems and management of
Cheveley Park Stud in England, Coolmore Stud in Ireland, and Taylor Made in
Kentucky, USA.
"I would recommend anyone that has even had a thought about applying for the
course to do so, you will not regret it," 2016 scholarship recipient Bevan
Smith said.
Written applications for both scholarships, including a full CV, close on
October 13, 2017 with applications to Nicola@nzthoroughbred.co.nz.
