Among the last few born from the final crop of 23 foals by the great Redoute’s Choice, the Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock-trained filly Berry Bubbly went coast to coast in Friday night’s Quest Moonee Valley (955m).
Ridden by Jye McNeil, Berry Bubbly was making her second start after displacing her palate when unplaced behind Miss Roseiano in the Group III Blue Diamond Preview at Caulfield on Australia Day.
The daughter of Redoute’s Choice was under little more than a hand ride to defeat the Pariah filly Astelena by two and a half lengths with the I Am Invincible filly Cut To The Chase a neck back in third.
Berry Bubbly was purchased by Griffiths de Kock Racing/Peter Ford Thoroughbreds (FBAA) for $225,000 from the Coolmore Stud draft at the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
A half-sister to Gilgai Farm’s unbeaten Jump The Broom (Sebring), Berry Bubbly is the third foal of the Statue of Liberty (USA) mare Bubbleberry a half-sister to the champion Hong Kong Sprinter Lucky Bubbles (Sebring)
.
Bubbleberry has a colt foal by Fastnet Rock and was covered by Snitzel last spring.
