The outstanding bloodlines on offer include Lot 596, a filly by supreme Australian stallion I Am Invincible out of Sopra Tutto (NZ) (Van Nistelrooy). Herself a daughter of champion Pencarrow mare Ethereal (NZ) (Rhythm), Sopra Tutto is the dam of Group One performers Supera (NZ) (Savabeel) and Eleonora (NZ) (Makfi). Lots 221 and 595 are also from this superb family.

Lot 137 is a filly by American Triple Crown champion American Pharoah out of the Sea The Stars mare Breeze, who won in Ireland and is closely related to top-class European Group One winners Horatio Nelson (Danehill) and Van Gogh (American Pharoah).

Lot 214 is a colt out of Echezeaux (NZ) (Encosta De Lago), who is a stakes-placed half-sister to Group One racehorses and sires Darci Brahma (NZ) and Burgundy (NZ). Lot 475 is a U S Navy Flag colt from the same family.

Lot 325 is a filly by Zoustar out of a stakes-placed mare who is closely related to more than a dozen black type winners.

The filly catalogued as Lot 396 brings an international pedigree to our part of the world, being out of a Canford Cliffs half-sister to the five-time Group One-winning champion mare Alexander Goldrun (Gold Away).

Pencarrow’s Karaka 2022 draft also features the progeny of stakes-winning mares Cote D’Or (NZ) (Makfi), Insouciant (NZ) (Keeper), Miss Scarlatti (NZ) (Stravinsky), Rasa Lila (NZ) (Darci Brahma), Scintillula (Galileo), Silver Eclipse (NZ) (Darci Brahma) and Sleeping Beauty (NZ) (Rip Van Winkle).
