Finnie said he was bracing himself for more bad luck after his Spin The Knife had finished out of a place as a short-priced favourite in the Magic Millions WA 3yo Trophy.

“I had a mongrel of a day up until now, so I was happy to see her flying down the outside,” Finnie said.

‘She has done a great job, is a great horse. Justin (Warwick) picked her out at the sales, and she has been nothing but a gem.

“She showed a lot of grit today. She is going places.“

Consigned by Mt Hallowell Stud to the Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Sheeza Belter failed to make her $50,000 reserve.

Sheeza Belter left the ring unsold before being sold to Justin Warwick
