Brazen Beau's Bello Beau Stays Perfect

Mark Smith - Sunday February 6

Short priced favourite Bello Beau kept his record at a perfect three for three when leading every step of the way in Sunday’s $150,000 Listed Alfa Gold Sovereign (1200m) at Launceston.

Coming off a win in the Listed Elwick Stakes at Hobart, the Adam Trinder-trained son of Brazen Beau was untroubled to defeat the Zebedee Piiink Beauty by one and a half lengths with the Spieth filly Jaguar Stone the same distance back in third.

Bred by Enak Pty Ltd, Bello Beau was consigned by Supreme Thoroughbreds to the 2021 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, with Wayne Roser signing the ticket for $70,000.

The 2yo gelding is the seventh winner for the stakes-placed Flying Spur mare Bella Princess.

Bello Beau a $70,000 Inglis Premier yearling

Purchased for $55,000 at the 2013 Inglis August Thoroughbred Sale, Bella Princess is a half-sister to Group II winner Ten Gun Salute and Group III winner Red Typhoon. She is out of the dual Listed stakes winner and Group 1 South Australian Oaks runner-up Ladybird Blue (Bluebird).

Bella Princess missed to Toronado (IRE) in 2020 and visited the Swettenham Stud resident again last spring.

Darley Stud’s Brazen Beau has three catalogued for the Inglis Classic and 16 at the Inglis Premier. There is one lot by Brazen Beau on offer at the Adelaide Magic Millions and four catalogued for Inglis Easter.
