Fairway Thoroughbreds, who bred and sold champion racehorse Winx through this sale ring, the star filly comes with a big pedigree that may be on the cusp of an international update.

$1.1million I Am Invincible filly from Villa Carlotta.

She is the second foal of Group II placed Villa Carlotta, whose Group III winning dam Florentina spent several years at stud in the Northern Hemisphere and her four year-old daughter by Dubawi called In Italian was an impressive winner at Tampa Bay this week. (Read about her here).

With two wins from three starts, In Italian is expected to tackle Black Type races this year and may add further to a pedigree that is already flush with success being from the Twyla branch of the Dancing Show family made famous by Redoute’s Choice and his Group I winning brothers Manhattan Rain and Platinum Scissors.

Florentina also has a two year-old colt by Kingman that made $1.8 million at this sale when bought by Tom Magnier, so there are quite a few things happening on the page to suggest this filly might be well bought.

Villa Carlotta unfortunately lost a foal last year, but was covered last year by Wootton Bassett (GB).

This filyl is the fifth sold at this sale for $1million or more by I Am Invincible.
