Race 3 summary - AKBAR JAY on a seven day back-up and finished strongly to end up midfield last start at Devonport, a winning chance. OCEANIA HOPE let-up for six weeks and came on to finish midfield last start at Devonport, could threaten. FANCY DANZ trial since last run could help and a backmarker, don't treat likely. VICTORY MEDAL for the wider exotics.

Race 4 summary - ORANGE RIVER let-up and in fairly consistent form, the testing material. AGREE TO winner in two of past seven runs and coming off a win at Devonport when first up, in with a chance. AMAWORD won or placed last four and chasing back to back wins at Devonport, capabable of getting into the money. They look the three.

Race 5 summary - A race that should be solid pressure applied in early stages. LOVE MAGIC let-up and won easily in the end last start at Launceston, still in this. ANGEL OF THE ABYSS back after 18 week break and prepped well winning last trial at the same track, don't treat likely. WINSTON WOLFE and KUUSELA the other main chances.

Race 6 summary - STEP THE PEDAL winner or placed in four of past seven and goes well at Hobart, will take the power of beating. BOX OF FROGS back from let-up and having first run for a new trainer, sneaky chance. GLADSTONE resumes from a 22 week spell and won't take many starts to get going, place hope. GEEGEES BRIGHTSTAR the other main chance.

Race 7 summary - NEWTS let-up for eight weeks and winner or placed in three of past five, commands respect. CATALYST FIRE back after 31 week break and likely to race on the speed, in with a chance. GEE GEE CATS ran as favourite last start and placed at Devonport but expect to lead, has the speed to overcome an unfavourable draw, each-way claims. FAREWELL ANGELINA back from eight week let-up and hard to catch, will lead/box seat, place best.
