Yarraman Park’s exciting young sire Hellbent added a second stakes horse to his tally on Wednesday when promising filly Miss Hellfire finished a brave second on debut in the $200,000 Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic (1100m).
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Miss Hellfire had won her only two previous trials and very nearly kept her record perfect on race day.
She raced on the pace for Kerrin McEvoy and tired hard all the way to the line to beat all bar the late closing Soaring Ambition to go down by a neck.

Hellbent also had the fifth and sixth place-getters in the race in Hell I Am and Negation with both horses beaten less than two lengths in a competitive finish.
