Triple Crown hero American Pharoah (USA) has been churning out stakes-winners this year in the Northern Hemisphere with progressive mare Skygaze scoring a career best win in the Group III Maple Leaf Stakes ( 1¼ m ) at Woodbine on Saturday.
Already a stakes-winner this year, the Mark Casse trained mare was well fancied to win and ran up to expectation when powering clear to win by four and a half lengths.
Her overall record is now six wins and four placings from 13 starts with prizemoney in excess of $280,000.
