There was a big set of 15 barrier trials at Randwick on Tuesday morning, but only one heat for two year-olds and it was won by a son of Spirit of Boom.
Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Command Approved was very professional for Tim Clark jumping well from the inside gate to take up the lead and keeping up a good gallop all the way to the line. He finished just ahead of his stablemate Vinnie’s Spirit (I Am Invincible).

Command Approved was a $170,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Newgate Farm draft for James Bester Bloodstock/Vantage Thoroughbreds and is a half-brother to stakes-placed Nitrous from Group II placed Stratum mare Flamboyant Lass, a sister to Group II winner Atttention.
The current crop of Spirit of Boom two year-olds were conceived at the fee of $55,000, which is the first year in which his fee rose from his initial fee of $11,000.
This is his biggest foal crop to date and the quality of mare he covered that year is a marked improvement on all that has gone before and already Spirit of Boom has a current season juvenile stakes-winner Get in the Spirit, who may well be one of many.
