First to Trial Wins for Lord of the Sky

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday October 13

Kingstar Farm’s young sire Lord of the Sky had an eye-catching barrier trial winner at Newcastle on Wednesday.

Trained by Nathan Doyle, Lord of the Hunter skipped away from his rivals in the 800m trial to win by three and a half lengths for Lee Magorrian and is the first progeny of his sire to be seen out at the trials.

Lord of the Hunter was a $40,000 Inglis Classic purchase for his trainer from the Kingstar Farm draft and was the equal most expensive first crop yearling for Lord of the Sky, a multiple Group III winning and Group I placed sprinter by Danerich.
