Think It Over Earnings Soar Past $2million

Tara Madgwick - Saturday October 2

It was a big payday for Kerry Parker’s stable star Think It Over at Randwick on Saturday with the top class son of So You Think scoring a tenacious win in the $1million Group II ATC Hill Stakes (2000m).

A gallant third in the Group I ATC George Main Stakes behind Verry Elleegant at his last run, Think It Over was ready for a tough 2000m and was strong to the line for Nash Rawiller to edge out a persistent Shared Ambition by a short head.

Think It Over is likely to remain in Sydney to target the $500,000 Rosehill Gold Cup on Golden Eagle day with a $500,000 bonus to be paid to any horse that can win both the Hill Stakes and that race.

“His owner Richard Johnston made the decision to run in Sydney today rather than Melbourne and I’m glad we were able to execute that plan for him,” said Kerry Parker.

A homebred for Richard Johnston’s Bylong Park, Think It Over started his career with John Sargent, but has blossomed with maturity and now has the overall record of eight wins and 10 placings from 28 starts with prizemoney in excess of $2.3million.

Think It Over is the best of four winners from well bred unraced Zabeel mare Personal Service, a half-sister to Group I winners Universal Prince and Universal Queen as well as the dam of Group I ATC Coolmore Classic winner Krone.

Think It Over is the current flagbearer for Coolmore based So You Think, who was Australia’s busiest sire in 2020 covering 261 mares and stands at a fee of $77,000 this spring.
