Snowden’s Cheer Capitalist

Tara Madgwick - Thursday September 30

Peter and Paul Snowden put the polish on Golden Slipper winner and now leading young sire Capitalist and they share in the ownership and also train his latest winner.

Saluting at just his second start at Wyong on Thursday was three year-old gelding Ka Bling, who dashed clear at the finish to win the 1200m maiden by a length under Tommy Berry.

Ka Bling was a $200,000 Inglis Easter Round 2 Sale purchase from Macquarie Stud for Snowden Racing and is the fourth winner from five foals to race from Group III winning Redoute’s Choice mare Zingaling.

There is plenty of Black Type in this female family that also features Group I winner Inspirational Girl and Group II winner Demonetization.

Ka Bling was bred and sold by Macquarie Stud.

Zingaling has been a regular visitor to Newgate Farm’s Capitalist and also has a two year-old filly by the son of Written Tycoon and is back in foal to him again after having a season off in 2019.

Ka Bling is the ninth winner of the new season for Capitalist, whose fee has shot up to $99,000.
