The Turkish Jockey Club have announced the acquisition of Australian dual Group I winning sire Epaulette, who has been sold to them by Darley and will stand his first season in Turkey in 2022.
A homebred for Darley being a three-quarter brother by Commands to multiple Group I winner Helmet, Epaulette won the 2012 Group I ATC Golden Rose and then the Group I BRC Doomben 10,000.
He has proven a successful sire covering over 800 mares in the past seven seasons and has left 15 stakes-winners worldwide headed by Group I winners Soqrat (South Africa) and Red Lark (USA) with his best local performer Group II winner Paradee.
Running at 55% winners to runners he is sure to be a good addition in Turkey.
