Tara Madgwick - Thursday September 9

Bob And Sandra Peters have a hugely successful breeding and racing empire and their latest winner to catch the eye is a debut winner on Thursday by American Pharoah (USA).

Three year-old filly Mrs America was well fancied to win the 1300m maiden at Northam on Thursday and delivered the goods for punters with an effortless two length win under Willie Pike.

The Grant and Alana Williams trained filly was allowed to settle early and unleashed a powerful finish to blitz her rivals in a dominant display.

A homebred for Peters Investments, Mrs America is a half-sister to Group III winner Dark Choice and is the fourth winner from stakes-placed Dark Miss, a half-sister by More Than Ready (USA) to stakes-winner Cohort and to the dam of Group II winner Churchill Dancer.

Mrs America is the third winner from four runners by American Pharoah from daughters of More Than Ready with the other two winners being Japanese Group I winner Café Pharoah and US Group II winner Four Wheel Drive.

Bob Peters obviously likes the nick as Dark Miss has a two year-old colt by American Pharoah called Dark Missile and a yearling filly by the Triple Crown winner to follow.

American Pharoah (USA) is a Premium stallion , click for more information.

American Pharoah is back at Coolmore Australia this spring at a fee of $49,500.
