The William Mullins-trained Riven Light is in quarantine at Newmarket before travelling to Australia in the first shipment of European raiders, which is likely to arrive in Melbourne on or about September 30.

Riven Light would have enough time to complete his Melbourne quarantine requirements before a possible start in the Group I Caulfield Stakes (2000m), which carries $1 million in stakes, on October 14.

Mullins, who also has Wicklow Brave in quarantine told the Racing Post that connections have not confirmed Riven Light's Melbourne program.

"Nothing has been finalised and if he does run in the Caulfield Stakes we'll see how things go and take it from there," Mullins said.

Mullins is likely to send his Melbourne Cup entries Max Dynamite and Thomas Hobson into quarantine on Wednesday week.

Mullins said he could give Max Dynamite, the 2015 Melbourne Cup runner-up, a start at Group III Level at Naas on Sunday.

"We'll decide in a few days whether he'll run at Naas," said Mullins. "We haven't made any definite decisions about him or Thomas Hobson but it's likely that they will both go into quarantine next week."

Wicklow Brave's first aim of his latest Australian trip will be the Caulfield Cup on October 21.

Thomas Hobson is rated a $41 chance for the Melbourne Cup with Sportsbet with Max Dynamite at $51 while Wicklow Brave is $81 for both Cups. Riven Light has been listed at $21 for the Caulfield Stakes and $41 for the Cox Plate after being as long $251 for the WFA  championship.
