Stallion Nomination Centre - Opportunities Abound

Media Release - Tuesday August 31

On the 1st of September stallion barns across Australia and New Zealand kicked into gear, so there is a sense of urgency from many of Randwick Bloodstock’s stallion nomination vendors to sell their nominations sooner rather than later.

If you have never utilised The Stallion Nomination Centre service, please read on.

Brilliant Snitzel son Showtime is being given every chance to succeed at Arrowfield Stud and a share in him is being offered on the Stallion Nomination Centre.

Randwick Bloodstock’s The Stallion Nomination Centre offers all broodmare owners – commercial or hobbyists - an alternative source for securing their stallion nominations. No nominations listed for sale are owned by the studs which stand the stallion.

The vendors are either shareholders or breeding rights holders. Every year some of these people find themselves in a position where they are unable to utilise the nomination attached to their share or breeding right, so they list them for sale with us.

Some vendors take the view that a small return on the nomination is better than watching it sit idle. Buyers have been able to save themselves as much as $20,000 on a nomination, while most buyers rarely fail to save between $1,000 to $5,000. It is also worth noting some vendors are not GST registered, so for hobby breeders there is an automatic 10% saving straight away.

Who wouldn't like to save themselves $1,000 or more by doing something as simple as sending an email or picking up the phone and calling someone? It is something you do in your daily life, so why not do it in your horse business. Especially if you are serious about making a profit.

Winning Rupert is an exciting young sire son of Written Tycoon with his oldest progeny just turned 3YO's.

Apart from saving money, a buyer can usually negotiate favourable payment terms and conditions. For example, many of the vendors are happy to sell their nominations with payment on a Live Foal. It is important for buyers to remember these stallion nominations are negotiable instruments, and they are welcome to offer whatever price, payment terms and conditions they wish. Obviously, a vendor needs to agree, however with some negotiation, a deal can usually be struck.

Street Cry's dual G1 winner Pride of Dubai, already the sire of 11 SW's worldwide with his oldest progeny just turned 4YO's.

The Stallion Nomination Centre page can always be viewed on Randwick Bloodstock’s website. The list of nominations for sale is constantly changing and it is updated at least once every week. Current listings include nominations in Americain, Bellevue Hill, Better Than Ready, Brave Smash, Bull Point, Cosmic Force, D’Argento, Dissident, Divine Prophet, Headwater, Jukebox, Lean Mean Machine, Menari, Outreach, Overshare, Perast, Press Statement, Pride Of Dubai, Reliable Man, Russian Revolution, Shooting To Win, Showtime, Sizzling, Sooboog, Spieth, Stratosphere, Stratum Star, Super One, Supido, Swear, Tarzino, Tosen Stardom, Turffontein, Wandjina and Winning Rupert.

Stunning Caulfield Guineas winning son of Choisir, Divine Prophet has much to look forward to with his oldest progeny just turned 3YO.

Hopefully there is a stallion on these lists or a future list which suits your mare and your price bracket. Or if you are a shareholder or breeding right holder with a nomination you would like us to try and sell for you, you are welcome to get in touch.

Whether buying or selling, Randwick Bloodstock is here to help.
