Canberra trainer Matthew Dale has finalised the riding arrangements for Fell Swoop in the $10 million The Everest (1200m) at Randwick on October 14.
Tye Angland was aboard the gelding when he returned with a sixth placing in last Saturday's Group II The Shorts (1100m) at Randwick and will remain aboard the six-year-old in his next two runs.
"It's very exciting," Angland said. "His run was good first-up and he'll have taken plenty of benefit from it.
"It's the world's richest race on turf and to have an opportunity to ride in the inaugural running is definitely a thrill."
At this stage Dale is still to commit to Fell Swoop's next run with the Group I Moir Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley on Friday September 29 and the Group II Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Randwick 24 hours later the options being considered.
Fell Swoop will run representing Inglis's slot in the weight-for-age contest and Sportsbet has him listed as a $26 chance.
