NSWRO 2021 Awards Finalists Announced

Media Release - Monday August 16

The New South Wales Racehorse Owners’ Association is delighted to announce the finalists for the 20/21 NSWROA Racing Awards.

Normally presented at the gala evening Racing’s Night of Champions, not being held due to Covid-19 restrictions, the judging of the annual awards for horses in ten different categories will proceed as normal.

The shortlist of finalists, which was determined using the NSWROA points system, is being judged by a panel of industry participants to arrive at the final results.

The winners will be revealed on 28 August in conjunction with the ATC’s Owner Appreciation Day at Rosehill Gardens, which includes the running of the NSW Racehorse Owners’ Association Trophy Hcp.

There will be no owners present, however the winners will be announced digitally via both the ATC and NSWROA. The Association’s iconic gold trophies will be delivered to the winners.

“We are very grateful for the ongoing support of sponsors the Australian Turf Club, Wild Oaks, Inglis, Arrowfield, NZ Bloodstock and the NSW Trainers’ Association during these tough times,” said Tony Mitevski, President of the NSWROA.

“We are also very pleased to welcome our new sponsors, Gow-Gates Insurance and Vinery Stud this year,” he added.
