New Trainer for Easter Sale-Topper

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 12

The top lot at the 20019 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale when sold for $2.8million, Snitzel colt Mount Fuji will be heading to a new home in Queensland after being sold in the Inglis Digital August (Early) Sale for $75,000.

Bought as a yearling by respected bloodstock agent James Harron and raced by a big syndicate of investors, Mount Fuji failed to deliver on the early potential he showed with a wind issue not helping his cause.

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Mount Fuji finished third in his most recent run in a three year-old maiden on the Kensington track on July 28.

Mount Fuji was sold for $75,000, click to see his sale page.

He was bought by Gold Coast trainer Gillian Heinrich, so will no doubt do his future campaigning in Queensland where he may find the company  a little easier.

The Inglis Digital Sales have provided a great opportunity for trainers to purchase well bred, fully educated horses that are ready to race on with none of the risk and wait time associated with buying a yearling.

All health issues are fully disclosed and buyers go in with eyes open as to a horses real ability and potential problems, likewise the ‘dream factor’ of possibly  buying a future champion is also removed which results in the discounted price.
