New Addition at Blue Gum Farm

Media Release - Thursday August 5

After working at Brent and Cherry Taylor's famed Trelawney Stud in Cambridge New Zealand for the past 22 years, the last 19 of them as Stud Manager, we are thrilled to welcome Kevin 'Millie' Walls to Blue Gum Farm.

Kevin Walls is joining the team at Blue Gum Farm.

Millie joins us as our Broodmare Manager bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. He has spent his entire working life in the thoroughbred industry working for some of the very best in the business.

Millie's first job was with Champion trainer Brian Mayfield-Smith for whom he was stable foreman for eight years before Brian's departure to Africa.

Shortly after that Millie became foreman for Ron Quinton with whom he remained for two years before returning to his native New Zealand.

There Millie was employed at Sir Patrick Hogan's Cambridge Stud as stallion handler before taking on the role at Trelawney.

We look forward to Millie, together with our wonderful yearling manager Wendy Smith and our many talented and dedicated staff members, continuing to take the successful Blue Gum Farm brand into the future.
