TBQA President, Mr Basil Nolan congratulated all the studs, their staff and the owners.

“To be awarded a Champion Stallion or Broodmare of the Year is the pinnacle of breeding. It takes years of hard work, dedication and of course luck to take out these awards.

“This recognition increases the value of the stock and reputation on the Stud and is what everyone in the industry aspires to achieve.”

QTIS PREMIERSHIP AWARDS

Mr Nolan also congratulated the 2020-21 QTIS Premiership winners.

“The Queensland Thoroughbred Incentive Scheme (QTIS) is rated the best incentive scheme in Australian racing and it’s easy to see why when you look at the figures below,” said Mr Nolan.

“This prizemoney represents QTIS bonuses alone, it doesn’t include general prizemoney. To earn that much in bonuses in one season – well, it’s no wonder more and more owners and trainers want to race a Queensland-bred (QTIS) horse.”

2YO QTIS Trainer of the Year – Les Ross, 12 QTIS wins $291,275 in QTIS bonus prizemoney

3YO QTIS Trainer of the Year – Desleigh Forster, 12 QTIS wins $344,575 in QTIS bonus prizemoney
