One of the busiest and most successful two year-olds to race in Queensland this season has been Worthy Cause filly Hinged, who scored a resounding win at Doomben on Saturday.
A homebred for Dr Kim McCasker trained by Michael Nolan, Hinged made it three wins on the trot when bolting clear to win the 1615m open juvenile event as a well backed favourite.
Hinged kicked off with a debut win at Toowoomba in January and has finished the season with the impressive record of five wins and two seconds from seven starts with prizemoney just shy of $270,000.
"She's been a good filly to train from the start and we've never had any issues with her," Nolan said.
"She's getting better with racing and learning her craft a bit better."
Hinged is the first foal of Tints, a very handy racemare by Tycoon Ruler that won 12 races and over $246,000 in prizemoney.
Tints has a rising two year-old filly by Worthy Cause and is back in foal again to the young Clear Mountain Fairview based sire.
A Group III winning son of Choisir, Worthy Cause has done a great job with his first runners from limited numbers producing four winners from seven starters with Hinged his best performer.
Worthy Cause stands at a fee of $5,500 alongside Jabali, Wanted and Love Conquers All, who sired six winners around Australia on Saturday which was the most of any sire in the country. His winners were headed Magic Conqueror, who saluted at Doomben.
Love Conquers All stands at a fee of $5,490 in 2021.
