Champion
Australian sire Fastnet Rock has more than made his mark in the Northern Hemisphere
and added a 120th stakes-winner to his tally overnight with a York
stakes success for three year-old filly Entsar.
Trained by William Haggas, Enstar scored a length and a quarter win in the Listed
British Stallion Studs EBF Lyric Fillies' Stakes over 1m 2 ½ furlongs and has
now won three of nine starts.
A 260,000 guinea purchase from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for John Warren
Bloodstock, Entsar runs for Al Shaqab Racing, who are now going to retire the filly
to stud.
"Entsar will now go to Australia as a broodmare," said Alison Begley,
representing the owners.
Entsar is a half-sister to Group I winner La Collina from the Galileo mare
Starfish.
