Royal Ascot - Australasian Interest Day One

Breednet - Monday June 14

Royal Ascot kicks off on Tuesday and while there will be no Australian representatives this year there’ll still be interest for Australian breeders with runners by stallions standing this season in Australasia.

Territories has a strong chance in the Gr2 Coventry Stakes on Day One at Royal Ascot

Masseto by Darley’s Territories is second favourite in the Coventry Stakes. He overcame trouble to win on debut in maiden company and is coming off a last start second to Starspangledbanner youngster Castle Star in the Gr3 Marble Hill Stakes at the Curragh.

Wootton Basset’s Chindit also looks a chance in the St James’s Palace Stakes after a win in the Gr3 Greenham Stakes and a last start solid finishing fifth in the Gr1 2000 Guineas behind Poetic Flare
