Mares Killed in Hunter Valley Float Crash

A number of mares from this week’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale have been killed in a float accident at Jerrys Plains this morning.

Police have confirmed four mares died, although initial reports were five, when the truck they were in crashed at approximately 6.30am.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting two men, aged 62 and 59 were treated for non-life threatening injuries and taken to John Hunter Hospital at Newcastle.
