$1million for Diddles in Foal to Deep Field

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 27

Newgate Farm enjoyed another seven figure result at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on Thursday selling Diddles for $1million having purchased her just last year from the Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $300,000 from Strawberry Hill Stud.

A lightly raced daughter of champion sire Snitzel that was bought by John Singleton for $400,000 as a Magic Millions yearling in 2018, Diddles gained Black Type when finishing second in the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes on debut.

Sold as a race filly after just five starts at the Chairman’s Sale, she was retired to stud immediately by Newgate and covered by Deep Field in her first season at stud testing positive on a September 4 cover!

Diddles sold for $1million in foal to Newgate Farm's Deep Field.

A half-sister to Group III winner Barbaric from Group II winner and Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Mimi Lebrock, Diddles was snapped up by Craig Rounsefell’s Boomer Bloodstock for Daandine Stud, who bred and sold Newgate Farm’s superstar young sire Capitalist.
