Edinburgh Park will offer a quality consignment of 11 mares at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale this week including mares in foal to Capitalist, Written Tycoon, So You Think, Pierro , Deep Field,  Spirit of Boom and exciting young sires Too Darn Hot (GB) and Castelvecchio.

Past Edinburgh Park mare drafts have included Sister Madly, who went on to win numerous stakes races for her new owners before producing a first foal that sold for $1.2million as a yearling, and Treppes, who proved to be a life changing investment for Bert Vieira.

“We sold Treppes at this sale in 2014 for $190,000 when she was in foal to Snitzel with Trapeze Artist the result of the mating,” recalled Ian Smith.

“Bert Vieira passed him in as a yearling and kept him to race and of course he went to win over $5.5million and be Champion 3YO Colt.

“He now stands at Widden Stud and has a great opportunity to continue his success as a young sire making that initial investment for his dam the gift that keeps on giving.

"Our draft this year is the best collection of mares we have ever presented at any broodmare sale and we look forward to seeing their progress in years to come."
