First Win for 2019 MM Sale-Topper

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 20

Sold for $1.7million to top the 2019 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, I Am Invincible three year-old Strategy opened his account at Kilmore on Thursday.

Strategy was the sale-topper at MM 2019

Trained by Lloyd Kennewell, Strategy had two starts last year finishing just behind the place-getters and was subsequently gelded.

Since resuming from a spell in April, Strategy had run three frustrating second placings before finally getting the job done today.

Bred by Steve Gillard and consigned by Yarraman Park, Strategy was bought for $1.7million by Kennewell Rcg/Group One Bstock/Aquis/Ozzie Kheir.

He is the second winner from Snitzel’s former brilliant Group III winning 2YO Oakleigh Girl, who was second in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Oakleigh Girl has had no luck at stud in recent years and has not produced a foal since Strategy.
