Verna Metcalfe and her team at Middlebrook Valley Lodge are renowned for producing quality yearlings at all levels of the market with David Pfieffer’s outstanding three year-old Rocketing By plucked from their draft at the 2019 Inglis Scone Yearling sale for just $22,000.
The So You Think colt has barely put a hoof wrong with four wins and three placings from nine starts highlighted by a spectacular win over Prime Star and Ole Kirk in the $1million Inglis Sprint.
Now a winner of over $740,000 in prizemoney, he’s not the only star performer by red hot sire So You Think sold by Middlebrook Valley Lodge as they also put the polish on star mare Fasika, who was snapped up from their Inglis Easter Book 2 draft in 2017 for $120,000.
A last start winner of the Group II ATC Sapphire Stakes at Randwick last Saturday, Fasika has been a real star for the Joe Pride stable winning over $700,000 in prizemoney.
