Widden
Stud’s Your Song gave us the One to Watch on Thursday with an impressive debut
victory at Gosford for this talented gelding, who carried the Segenhoe
Thoroughbreds colours.
Prepared by Peter Robl, Music Addition was unwanted by punters and went to the
post at $61, but jumped smartly from an inside draw for Jay Ford and was never
headed.
He led all the way to run out an easy two and a half length winner over the
Godolphin favourite Kennedy in the 1000 metre maiden.
Music Addition was purchased by Segenhoe for $130,000 from the Attunga Stud draft
at the Magic Millions 2YO Ready to Run Sale last year.
He was previously offered as a yearling at Inglis Easter Session II by the Vieira
Group and fetched $55,000.
Music Addition is the first winner for Quality Coup, a winning daughter of
Group I winner Love Dance.
He is the ninth first crop winner for Fastnet Rock’s Group I winning son Your
Song, who is a clear leader among Australian first season sires by winners.
Your Song stands this spring at a fee of $22,000.
