Yarraman Park might be the home of champion sire I Am Invincible, but their Inglis Easter draft is not entirely about their flagship sire as the Inglis touring party and Breednet owner Craig Tompson discovered on Wedneday.
Their stellar draft also includes youngsters consigned on behalf of the late Sheikh Hamdan’s Shadwell operation offering a rare opportunity to buy into some tightly held families.
The racing and breeding world were saddened today by news of the passing of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum at age 75.
The older brother of Sheikh Mohammed, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum helped to change the face of racing in Britain and across the world, his famous blue and white silks well known in Australia and carried by Melbourne Cup winners At Talaq and Jeune as well as countless other stakes-winners.
For many years, Yarraman Park have been entrusted with the care of Shadwell Australia’s broodmare band and breeding operation with members their final crop of yearlings to be offered at Inglis Easter.
Among those Shadwell yearlings is Lot 406, a cracking I Am Invincible colt from stakes-winning Exceed and Excel mare Madeenaty.

He is the first foal of Madeenaty, who was bought by Shadwell as a yearling at Magic Millions for $775,000 . She was a brilliant early two year-old winning the Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic and finishing third in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast.
I Am Invincible is also the sire of Lot 91, the full sister to $2.8million earner Viddora.
Her dam Snow Flight has been to five different stallions since producing Viddora and this filly comes from her first mating going back to I Am Invincible.
Yarraman Park purchased Group I producer Noondie for $600,000 at the 2019 Inglis Chairman’s Sale when in foal to Written Tycoon and the colt she produced will be offered as Lot 454.
He is a full brother to Group I MRC Oakeligh Plate winner Booker and stakes-winner Banquo.
A colt with a big pedigree update is Lot 222, the half-brother by Capitalist to Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Exceedance from stakes-winning Thorn Park mare Bonnie Mac.
The colt is also a half-brother to this season’s exciting 3YO colt Oxley Road, winner of the Group III MRC Zeditave Stakes.
