Star Colts a Segenhoe Trademark

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 24

Segenhoe Stud have had tremendous success as vendors in recent years with superstar colts Merchant Navy and King’s Legacy purchased from their drafts, so Breednet owner Craig Tompson was on the lookout for special colts with superior pedigree and type when inspecting their draft with Team Inglis on Wednesday.

Both of those colts, Merchant Navy and King’s Legacy, were by established champion sires from big female pedigrees, so the two colts below fit the profile.

Lot 174 is an obvious contender, by champion sire I Am Invincible from stakes-placed Zara Bay, a full sister to Royal Ascot hero and dual Group I winner Merchant Navy and Group II winner Jolie Bay. First three dams of this colt are by Fastnet Rock, Snippets and Last Tycoon (IRE), nothing not to love there!

Lot 115 - click to see his page.

Lot 115 is a Zoustar half-brother to Group III winner Bella Rosa from stakes-winner Swiss Rose, a half-sister to Group III winner Prom Queen. The family has produced Golden Slipper winner Overreach and Blue Diamond winner and sire Reward for Effort.
