One to Watch – Geelong

Tara Madgwick - Friday May 19
The Chris Waller stable enjoyed plenty of success with former flying grey mare Arinosa and scored a debut win with her full brother at Geelong on Friday.

Two year-old Dash for Cash colt Andaz raced greenly for Ben Melham, but found the line when it mattered to score a tenacious short head win in the 1112 metre maiden.

Andaz as a yearlingA $150,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Chris Waller Racing from the Swettenham Stud draft, Andaz runs for the Puglisi family as did his big sister Arinosa.

The most expensive yearling sold in 2016 by Dash for Cash, Andaz is the fourth winner for stakes-placed Revoque (IRE) mare Amoroso, who is shaping as an exceptional producer.

Amoroso is the dam of not only dual Group II winner Arinosa, but also this season’s Group II winning three year-old filly Sweet Sherry and stakes-placed Onerous.

Amoroso has a weanling filly by Fastnet Rock and was covered last spring by More Than Ready (USA), so has certainly gone up market in her taste in partner!

Formerly based at Swettenham Stud in Victoria, Dash for Cash stands at Scenic Lodge in WA this spring at a fee of $2,750.
