Snitzel 2yo Winner Number 27

Breednet - Wednesday April 19
Snitzel racked up two-year-old winner number 27, just three shy of the record he equally holds, when Tangled won at Wyong on Wednesday.

SnitzelThe Arrowfield sire has again been on fire with his babies this season after equalling Without Fear's Australian record of 30 winners last season but that figure does look likely to be surpassed at some stage before July 31, with a new world mark of 39 not out of the question.

Tangled was having his third career start and second for this campaign when racing wide without cover from his outside gate and sustaining a good finish to score by a neck from Bidwee (Fastnet Rock x Sayuri San) and Our Mantra (Sebring x Truly Elegant).

Tangled was purchased by his trainer Chris Waller from the Newgate Farm draft at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $310,000 and is the seventh foal to race, and sixth winner for former Champion NZ filly Bramble Rose who has also left stakeswinners Maules Creek and Sebrose.

Snitzel's next chance to add to his tally comes with two maiden juveniles at Muswellbrook on Friday, Heartaches and Kosciuszko Express, and two at Doomben on Saturday in Eptimum and Trevello.
