$425,000 Capitalist Colt Keeps Momentum Going at MM Adelaide

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 10

Strong trade has continued at the Adelaide Magic Millions on Wednesday with a colt by red hot young sire Capitalist selling for $425,000.

$425,000 Capitalist colt from Okaylah.

Consigned by Cornerstone Stud, the colt was knocked down to Aramco Racing and is a half-brother to five winners from Group III placed Flying Spur mare Okaylah.

Bred by Cornerstone Stud in partnership, the colt is the eighth foal of Okaylah, who was bought by Cornerstone Stud for $140,000 at the 2017 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale.

The star colt is bred on the same cross as Sunday’s Group III Canberra Black Opal Stakes winner Kalashnikov, who is also by Capitalist from a daughter of Flying Spur.

Okaylah produced a colt by Shamus Award last spring and was then covered by Widden Stud’s young Zoustar stallion Zousain.
