Kennedy enjoys quick return on investment with This Horse Here

Media Release - Friday March 24
Bendigo-based trainer Neville Kennedy has had a good run of success with his January gavelhouse Australia purchase.

This Horse Here has returned five times her purchase price from her first three runs.

This Horse HereThe mare had placed twice for former trainer Mark Kavanagh however hadn't performed up to the city class expectations of her owners and was offered for unreserved sale on gavelhouse.com, eventually fetching $2,900.

Now racing in easier company, the daughter of Globetrotter placed first up for Kennedy at Bendigo before running fourth. In her next start she broke maiden ranks at Ararat to bring home a $13,000 cheque and take her total earnings since her purchase to $15,500.

Former trainer Mark Kavanagh is pleased to see the mare has gone on to be successful for her new owner.

"Not all horses end up justifying their space in a city stable and gavelhouse.com has given us an avenue to move these horses on relatively quickly," he said.

"It's pleasing to see the horses go on and reach their marks in easier environments with their new owners able to get a decent return on their purchases."

The current gavelhouse.com Australia catalogue is online now and features young, racing and breeding stock including mares with foals at foot by Fiorente, Sirius Slew and Squamosa and in foal to the likes of Moshe, Lucas Cranach and Jimmy Creed.

Bidding is set to close from 7pm AEDT on Monday 27 March with the gavelhouse.com Australia team on hand to answer any questions via 03 9614 4882 or info@gavelhouse.com
