Breeders Move Away From Direct Danehill Line Sires

Tara Madgwick - Thursday March 4

The list of Australia’s busiest sires for 2020 highlights the trend away from Danehill line stallions with only five of the Top 20 being direct Danehill male line descendants and include none of the top six that covered 200 plus mares.

Click to read our previous story on Australia's busiest sires for 2020.

So You Think (High Chaparral (IRE), Toronado (IRE) (High Chaparral (IRE)and Deep Field (Northern Meteor) are completely free of Danehill, while Capitalist (Written Tycoon), Yes Yes Yes (Rubick) and Pride of Dubai (Street Cry (IRE) have one strain each.

Of the busiest  first season sires in 2020, a list headed by Rubick’s Everest winning sprinter Yes Yes Yes, the trend is even more apparent.
