Craig Williams will not appeal his suspension incurred at Flemington on Saturday and will miss next Saturday's Newmarket Handicap meeting.
Williams was suspended for 10 meetings on a charge of careless riding aboard Turbo Miss in the home straight of the Group III Frances Tressady Stakes (1400m) but said on his Twitter account on Sunday he would not be appealing.
Williams had been booked to ride Star Turn in the $1.25 million Group I Newmarket Handicap (1200m).
Katelyn Mallyon will, however, be appealing her 12 meeting suspension incurred at Flemington in the hope of being able to ride the Andrew Noblet-trained Super Cash in the Newmarket Handicap.
Mallyon was suspended for causing interference in the home straight on Northwest Passage in the Roy Higgins Quality (2600m).
