Oaks Dreaming

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 1
The Redoute's Choice x Zabeel cross produced champion filly Samantha Miss and the filly Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott believe may win them an Oaks.

Cassadee as a yearlingA 'One to Watch' when winning on debut at Randwick on January 2, Cassadee found the class a little hot when finishing out of a place last start in the Group III VRC The Vanity , but bounced back with a facile victory at Sandown on Wednesday.

She bolted in to win over 1600 metres by five lengths in a commanding display.

Waterhouse Tweeted - CASSADEE demolishes the field @Sandownparkbeating the boys over the mile. She will improve the further she goes. Did someone say The Oaks?

The talented filly carries the colours of George Altomonte's Corumbene Stud, but is not a homebred having been purchased at the Magic Millions from the Arrowfield Stud draft by Corumbene for $280,000.

She is a half-sister to stakes-placed Donelle and is the second winner from Avarice, a Zabeel three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group III winner Our Yangtze River from the family of Group I winners Riverina Charm, Benfica and Neroli.
