Media Release - Friday February 24

A regally-bred mare and foal package currently up for auction in the gavelhouse Australia fortnightly online auction have met their reserve with bidding open until 7pm AEDT on Monday 27 February.

The $50,000 reserve was met on Thursday afternoon for the package which comprises the young mare Stepanova(Danehill Dancer)  (pictured above with foal below) with her quality first foal by So You Think at foot.

Stepanova is from the winning mare Dance On By who is a full sister to Coolmore's champion galloper and sire High Chaparral. Located in the Hunter at Valley at Edinglassie Stud, the package is only offered for sale by New Zealand-based owners Brendan and Jo Lindsay as they already have four siblings to breed from with this an opportunity for them to capitalise on the buoyant Australian industry.

Meanwhile the filly's sire So You Think has continued to make great inroads with the current leading second season sire in Australia producing eye-catching winners this week including Northwest Passage and Think Babe.
