Classic Colt a Daisy Hill Premier Star

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Monday February 22

Boutique Victorian farm Daisy Hill is owned by Colleen and Kevin Bamford, who had the pleasure of owning and racing 2010 Melbourne Cup winner, Americain and while their Inglis Premier draft does not feature any of his progeny this year, they will offer a cracking So You Think colt that has a pedigree with a distinct Melbourne Cup flavour.

Lot 108 is the first of six yearlings consigned by Daisy Hill to be offered at Oaklands and this colt is from Karata, a winning sibling to Group II SAJC Adelaide Cup winner Outback Joe and Group II winning sire Ustinov from Australian Horse of the Year Let’s Elope.

Winner of the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup and Australian Cup, $3.2million earner Let’s Elope is also the grand-dam of Group III winner Let’s Make a Deal and the dam of this season’s current star three year-old filly Swat’s That, a Group III winner that finished third in the Group I VRC Lightning Stakes to Nature Strip.

So You Think goes from strength to strength as a sire with seven stakes-winners this season and progeny earnings just shy of $8million, so a colt with a pedigree such as this will be one in hot demand.

The following yearlings will also be offered by Daisy Hill.
