Shadwell Street Cry Colt Wins Again

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday February 1
Shadwell Australia put their toe back in the market at Magic Millions last year securing slick stakes-winner and Magic Millions 2YO Classic place-getter Madeenaty and also an exciting Street Cry (IRE) colt who made it two wins from three starts when scoring at Sandown on Wednesday.

Street CryThird on debut in December, the Hayes/Dabernig trained Eshtiraak broke his maiden by six lengths at Pakenham last month and went on with the job to win the open juvenile event over 1200 metres by half a length as favourite.

A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase for Shadwell from the Baramul Stud draft, Eshtiraak is a half-brother by champion sire Street Cry to Champion South African 2YO Colt and dual Group I winner Delago Deluxe, who sired his first winner last week for Newhaven Park.

He is the sixth winner from six to race from Flying Spur mare Succeeding, a half-sister to Group I winners Duporth and Excites from $1million earner Staging.

A member of Gerry Harvey's exclusive broodmare band, Succeeding has a yearling filly by Medaglia D'Oro (USA), a colt foal by Sepoy and was covered last spring by Vancouver.
