Racing stock make up bulk of gavelhouse.com Aussie catalogue

Media Release - Wednesday January 25
Racing stock comprise all but one of the lots in the latest gavelhouse Australia catalogue with four siblings to Group One winners up for sale and bidding open until 7pm AEDT on Monday 30 January.

With two lots sold via the site in Australia already, Chris Waller has three unreserved lots entered this week including two lightly tried three year olds with plenty of upside and the winning import Scooner (Mizzen Mast).

Scooner is a full-brother to Gr.1 HKJC Steward's Cup winner Giant Treasure and last won on 14 December at Mornington. He is a good country cups prospect and has also completed some basic jumps schooling.

Of the Waller stable's three year olds, Klarik (Fastnet Rock) holds plenty of appeal being a full-brother to Gr.1 ATC Flight Stakes winner First Seal with their dam Episode (Scenic) an Oaks winner who's produced two other stakes performers among her seven winners to date. With only three starts under his belt he's shown he's not up to metro racing with owners opting to focus on that calibre of stock, as is the case with stable-mate and fellow three year old, Zetastar (Northern Meteor).

The Show Goes OnSouth Australia-based trainer Lloyd Kennewell is represented by The Show Goes On (Equiano), a half-brother to dual Group One winner Trust in a Gust. A winner of two and placed in a further three of his eight starts, he is a versatile sprinting type and at four years old is capable of working his way further up the grades.

Breeders have the opportunity to purchase a half-sister to multiple Group One winner Spinning Hill in Ithinkso(Anabaa). Adding further appeal to this mare is that she shares the same sire as the dams of high-profile Group One winners the likes of Treve, Hartnell, English, Dissident and Buffering among others. Ithinkso is listed with a recent positive pregnancy certificate with Rosemont's first season sire Nostradamus the covering sire.

The gavelhouse.com team are also glad to welcome on board the Lindsay Park Racing team to the site for the first time with their entry an unreserved six year old entire in Tiger On. Having only had three starts to date, the impressive looking son of Hold That Tiger could be an interesting project for someone in an easier racing environment.

Bidding will close on a lot by lot basis starting with Lot 1 at 7pm AEDT on Monday 30 January. Contact the team at gavelhouse.com Australia with any questions about the site. P: 0396144882 or info@gavelhouse.com
