Arrowfield Stud’s shuttler Shalaa (IRE) has been quick off the mark in Australia siring Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Shaquero, but in the Northern Hemisphere he has take a little longer to find his first stakes -winner with that milestone coming overnight in France.
Three year-old colt King Shalaa won the Listed Prix de la Californie ((1m) at Cagnes-Sur-Mer by half a length and has now won three from three.
King Shlaaa is a half-brother to stakes-winner Waltham from Turtle Bowl mare Baki, a sibling to three stakes-winners.
Shalaa covered his biggest book of mares in Australia so far last season servicing 169 mares at Arrowfield at a fee of $33,000.
