I Am Invincible Takes Over at the Top

Tara Madgwick - Monday January 16
The weekend belonged to Yarraman Park's I Am Invincible, who has now surged to the top of the Australian General Sires List taking the lead over Street Cry (IRE) and Snitzel.

Houtzen wins the Magic Millions Magic Millions Day at the Gold coast proved a good one for I Am Invincible, who sired brilliant filly Houtzen to win the $2million Magic Millions 2YO Classic, while he also sired feature race place-getters I Am Zelady, Eckstein and Viddora.

His success this season is not defined by just one day as he is also the leading sire in the country by wins (130) and his progeny are running at an amazing 49% winners to runners!

Among those winners are seven stakes-winners headed by his Group I winning filly I am a Star, winner of the Group I VRC Myer Classic at 1600 metres.

All of the horses racing for I am Invincible at present were conceived from his $11,000 fee, a remarkable achievement!

I Am InvincibleI Am Invincible had 39 yearlings average $318,205 at Magic Millions Book I and set a new benchmark for himself with the colt from Admirelle fetching $900,000.

These yearlings come from his first season at the higher fee of $27,500 and for the past two years he has been priced at $55,000.

Breeders obviously believe he is well worth the money as he has covered books of 198 and 205 mares in 2015 and 2016.
