Bell River Thoroughbreds Invader Colt Sells for $375,000

Mark Smith - Sunday February 7

The weekend for Bell River Thoroughbreds gets better and better.

The Ferguson clan barely had time to recover from the homebred Prophet’s Thumb winning the Group II Rubiton Stakes at Caulfield and the second of the $101 shot Barnhoff in the $2million Inglis Millennium when a colt they offered by first season sire Invader was knocked down to George Moore Bloodstock/ Team Moore for $375,000. The half-brother to the stakes-placegetters Schilldora (Artie Schiller) and Dreams of Platinum (Dream Ahead) continues the run of sale ring success for Aquis Farm’s popular Snitzel stallion Invader.

The colt’s dam  Hussidora had been purchased by Ferguson Bloodstock for $62,000 at the Great Southern Broodmare sale for $62,000 when carrying the Invader colt.
