Promising
Fastnet Rock filly My True Love made it two wins from three starts when she
scored with authority at Warwick Farm on Wednesday for the Gai Waterhouse and
Adrian Bott stable.
An easy winner at Haweksbury last month at her second start, My True Love
carried her good form to town in the 1300 metre Benchmark 67 event.
She led throughout as favourite to race clear and win by nearly two lengths.
A $250,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Amarina Farm draft for Gai
Waterhouse, My True Love is raced by a syndicate of owners that include Nick
and Amy Vass in whose colours she runs.
Bred by Wood Nook Farm, she is the first winner for Group III winning Encosta
de Lago mare Lectrice, a sibling to Group I winners Leica Guv and Light
Fantastic.
Lectrice was on-sold at the 2015 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale where
she fetched $240,000 to the bid of James Bester Bloodstock and her current
yearling filly by Fastnet Rock is entered for the 2017 Inglis Australian Easter
Yearling Sale.
