Second in the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes at two behind Pride of Dubai, Rageese was also fourth in the Group I ATC Golden Rose and fifth in the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas at three.
A homebred for Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Rageese was transferred to the care of Darren Weir earlier this year and has made good progress for his new trainer.
Ridden by Damian Lane, Rageese powered to the line to win the 1400 metre sprint going away, by a length taking his overall record to four wins from 17 starts with prizemoney topping $550,000.
"It was an important win for his career after racing," said Darren Weir.
"We targeted this race and now hopefully he can go on to Perth."
Rageese is the first winner for Rabsha, a Dehere (USA) half-sister to Listed UAE Oaks winner Raihana from the family of champion mare Emancipation.
By the reigning champion Australian sire Street Cry, who has given us the best horse in the country in Winx, Rageese has impressive lineage when you consider he carries the blood of champion sires Sunday Silence, Danehill and Bletchingly.
