Oldest Mum?

A couple of recent arrivals to the Breednet Foal Gallery lay claim to being some of the oldest thoroughbred mares to deliver foals this spring.

Berkeley Park have sent in some lovely pictures taken by Joan Faras of 23 year old Piglet's Gold, who delivered a gorgeous colt by Uncle Mo (USA).





A proven stakes producer, Piglet's Gold is the dam of Group III winner Live in Vain and stakes-winner Snort.

Segenhoe Stud have sent in a picture of this Fastnet Rock colt from Group II winner Scandinavia, who is now 22.



Scandinavia is a blue hen of the highest order as the dam of Group I winner Magnus, Group II winners Scandiva and Wilander as well as stakes-winner Arctic Flight and Australian Broodmare of the Year Helsinge, the dam of champions Black Caviar and All Too Hard.
